Coming Together to Give Back: CBC’s Food Drive with Nourishing Hope
At Chicago Boat Company, we believe that joy doesn’t just come from cruising down the river—it comes from community. This spring, we were honored to channel that spirit into something meaningful by hosting a food drive in support of Nourishing Hope Chicago, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing food and resources to those in need.
Thanks to the generosity of our team, friends, family, and community members, we were able to collect nearly 400 lbs of food and essential items. Every can, box, and donation made a difference—and together, 
we helped support hundreds of individuals and families across Chicago.
The event kicked off at our Main Location at Marina City, where guests had the chance to cruise the river for a cause. Multiple groups drove our electric boats along a scenic route up to our Rockwell on the River location, where the celebration and collection continued.
We were thrilled to partner with our Rockwell neighbors Soul & Smoke, who catered delicious food for the event and helped us keep the good vibes going as we unloaded donations and shared a meal together. Their generosity, like that of everyone who participated, reminded us just how powerful community collaboration can be.
