120 Minute Public Guided History Tour - Party Barge
Description
The Party Barge is a unique way to cruise the Chicago River and lakefront. The boat features a u-shaped bar, surrounded by bar stools. The boat is equipped with a head (bathroom), charging ports, additional seating at the bow and coolers with ice. All cruises are BYOB, 120 minutes long and depart from the Chicago Riverwalk (between the LaSalle Street and Wells Street bridges).
For our public cycleboat cruises, kids MUST have a ticket. For children aged 0-5, tickets are $20; they can be purchased by calling in advance. Kids 6-18 will have the regular ticket price of $68.75.
Get ready to experience the city like never before as we cruise the river and discover topics like:
- The Great Chicago Fire of 1871 that not only killed hundreds, but destroyed the city
- Gangsters and a few of their favorite spots on the river
- This Great City’s Transition from swamp land to industrial to residential
- Reversal of the Chicago River: what was its purpose and how did it affect the future
- Chicago’s 1893 World’s Fair and all the wonderful new inventions we still use today
Please remember that your reservation time is the departure time. You will need to arrive at least 15 minutes early in order to leave the dock on time. Be sure that each individual in the party has signed the digital waiver and has confirmed their email address prior to your arrival. We may ask you to show your digital waiver confirmation email before you'll be allowed to board the boat.
